Jaroslav Tešliar (Certified Project Manager IPMA B)

Jaroslav has been the director of the Agency for the Support of Regional Development Kosice, n.o., since 2007. In addition to managing the organization, he coordinates development of strategic development documents from the local level, through regional to international level. He has worked on more than 50 development and research projects, the results of which have been published in more than 30 publications and studies. He has managed projects focusing on sustainable rural development in Eastern Slovakia, coordinated a program for rural areas in the Carpathian Euroregion, prepared and coordinated international development projects in the selected countries of Central and Southeast Europe.



Jozef Šuľak (Certified Project Manager IPMA C)

Jozef has been working as a project manager at the Agency since 2005. In his work, he focuses on preparation and implementation of projects especially in the field of tourism, creation of strategic development documents, feasibility studies, financial and economic analysis. He has experience with the training in the field of strategic planning, preparation of project proposals and project implementation as well as evaluation. He also participated in administration of the Call for Proposal in the frame of Terra Incognita programme. He graduated from the Faculty of Business Economics in Košice, University of Economics in Bratislava. Experience, knowledge and expertise in the field of regional development he gained by completing several courses and trainings in Slovakia and abroad.


Project managers:


Róbert Bidulský (Authorised representative for Innovation and Technology Transfer of the Košice Self - Governing Region)

Róbert has been working at the Agency since 2019 as a project manager as well as a responsible person for innovation, technologies, research and development of Kosice self-governing region and international cooperation process. In cooperation with the regional ecosystem, Róbert implementations the „Kosice regional innovation technological institute“ (KRITI). He obtained international knowledge working in the abroad institutions: Politecnico di Torino (postdoc, the visiting professor responsible for powder metallurgy lab in Alessandria campus), Japan (CAMRIC - Center for Advanced Materials Research and International Collaboration as a visiting professor). He has experiences with several projects that focus on research and development, research and innovation in Slovakia and abroad. He worked at Slovak Academy of Sciences (PhD at the Institute of Materials Research), Technical University of Kosice (ing., docent), Politecnico di Torino (visiting Profesor), University of Toyama (visiting professor).


Ján Dzurdženík (Certified Project Manager IPMA C)

Jan has been working as a project manager at the Agency since 2008, where he has coordinated several projects that focus on regional planning, rural development and sustainable use of natural resources. In his work, he partly focuses on activities in the field of environment and spatial planning. He worked for Slovak Environmental Agency as an environmentalist during 2003 -2008, where he participated in the preparation of environmental reports, landscape plans, and proposal of ecological networks and partly he worked as a project consultant of advisory centre in the field of EU structural funds. He holds a Master’s degree in Environmental ecology from the P.J. Šafárik University in Košice, Slovakia.


Jarmila Hviščová(Certified Project Manager IPMA C)

She has been working in the agency since 2005 as a project manager. She has been involved in the preparation and implementation of projects, particularly in the field of infrastructure, tourism, financial management of projects, and involved in the preparation of strategic regional and local development documents. She also has experience in the field of strategic planning, project planning and project implementation. She is a graduate of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Technical University in Košice, the Law Faculty of UPJŠ in Košice and University of Economics in Bratislava.


Henrieta Kiraľvargová

Henrieta has been working as a project manager at the Agency since 2007. At the beginning she coordinated projects focused on the vulnerable members of society, at the moment she focuses on sustainable mobility, utilisation of local resources. She is involved in development of strategic documents of regional and local character. She has worked at the Ministry of the Environment of Slovak Republic during 2002 - 2006, at the Nature and Landscape Protection Department where she handled administration procedures - approving exceptions from territorial and species protection. She graduated from the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Comenius University in Bratislava, specialization – Environmental Sciences in 2001. In 2005 she participated in the course Energy planning and sustainable development at the International Summer School, University of Oslo, Norway.


Alena Kučeravcová (Certified Project Manager IPMA C)

Alena has been working as a project manager at the Agency since 2011, where she has co-ordinated a number of cross border and international projects that focus on regional and urban planning, rural development, sustainable tourism and corporate social responsibility. Before joining the Agency, she worked for Slovak Environmental Agency as a landscape planning specialist, where her main tasks were focused on preparation and development of strategic documents on sustainable development, preparation of regional/local ecological stability systems, landscape plans and preparation of environmental reports. She holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Science and Geography from Faculty of Natural Sciences, Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra.


Monika Višňovská

Monika has been working as a project manager at the Agency since 2017, where she is involved in preparation and realization of projects that focus on local development, improving of regional planning and socially and environmentally responsible innovation. In the year 2017, she completed her Doctoral studies at the Faculty of Economics, Technical University of Košice, in the field of Spatial and Regional Economics. During her studies, she participated in international project. In the year 2016, she took part in the ERSA Summer School (The European Regional Science Association) at the Polytecnico di Milano, Italy with the central theme Advances in Regional Science. She finished an internship at the University of Bari Aldo Moro focusing on regional socioeconomic vulnerability. In the years 2013-2014, she worked at Carpathian development institute, where she was involved in preparation of local and regional strategic documents. She graduated from the Faculty of Economics, Technical University of Košice in the field of public administration and regional development. During and after studies she participated on the international project at the Spiš Regional Development Agency.


Financial managers:

Valéria Frischová

Valeria has been working at the Agency since 2007 and she is responsible for the firm accounting, accounting of individual projects, payroll and personnel agenda and cash flow management. She has more than 15 year experience in accounting of non-profit organizations. She graduated from the Faculty of Mining, Technical University in Kosice. After graduation, she completed a retraining course in accounting and financial management.


Marcela Juhászová

Marcela has been working as a financial manager at the Agency since 2011. In her works, she focuses on financial monitoring and reporting of projects in the field of cross-border cooperation financed by the European Structural Funds. She has a long-term experience in controlling and financial management of projects. She graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Management of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, specialization - Financial and Commercial activities in 1996. Later, she successfully completed a doctoral degree at the Faculty of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering in 2008. After graduation she continues to expand her knowledge by completing various courses in reporting, law and financial management.



Iveta Lučanská

Iveta has been working as a project assistant/administrator at the Agency since 2006. She assists in running of the organization, cooperates in administrative activities and assists to project managers in implementation of projects – preparation and collecting necessary documents. She helps in ensuring training, seminars within the implemented projects.
