We continue with the fifth training from the series focused on strategic planning, preparation and implementation of projects.

As part of the training, project managers from ARR Košice help employees of the Uzhhorod Municipal Office and representatives of non-governmental organizations to learn how to properly prepare a project.

The project “Step towards good governance of the city of Uzhhorod” is implemented within the Slovak Aid program.

The urgency of the need for interaction between the authorities and the public is intensifying in the context of the commitment of the Government of Ukraine to implement the necessary public administration reform under the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement and the implementation of the National Strategy for Ukraine’s Civil Society Development 2016-2020 (Presidential Decree No. 68 / 2016 of 26 February 2016).

As project manager Jarmila Hviščová stated: “It is possible to improve the state of cooperation between the public and the Uzhhorod authorities if the interaction is not only a peripheral activity of the authority, but becomes an integral part of the public policy development process, informing about its activities through various media and it will progressively develop the Authority’s capacity to ensure effective interaction with the public and to apply appropriate training to its staff. ”

The development cooperation project of the Slovak Republic “Step towards good governance of the city of Uzhhorod” began in October 2018. The project, which is supported by the SlovakAid program, responds to the specific objective of the call, which is to support good governance. The whole project is in line with one of the priorities of the Košice self-governing region to strengthen cooperation with Ukraine. The Slovak partner in the project is the Agency for Regional Development Support Košice, n. about. founded by the Košice self-governing region.
