CARPATHIAN BIOENERGY

ABOUT THE PROJECT:

The project is focused on education, dissemination of information and preparation of investments and the implementation of the replacement of a boiler using fossil fuels with a biomass boiler.

The main goal of the project is the development of alternative energy in the Transcarpathian region of Ukraine and Eastern Slovakia, to which the improvement of the possibilities for the use of RES and the expansion of the number of consumers and producers of energy biomass should contribute.

The target groups include local authorities (state or self-governing); educational institutions and potential consumers and producers of energy biomass.

Project description:

The Transcarpathia Regional Development and Cross-Border Cooperation Agency has prepared the Bienergia Karpát project in cooperation with partners in Slovakia (ARR Košice and the Municipality of Budkovce) and Ukraine (Mižhiria District and the Association of Students of the Economy of Transcarpathia). The project was approved and is co-financed from EU resources through the ENPI cross-border cooperation program (http://www.huskroua-cbc.net/sk/)

Work Package 1: Increasing the level of activity of local actors in the field of bioenergy development

Preparation and implementation of a survey of information needs
Preparation of a detailed information campaign plan
Organization of information seminars (information on opportunities for the use of biomass)

Organization of an exhibition on the topic of RES
