In the School in Nature in Kysak, a three-day international camp will take place from 15 to 17 June 2026, organized by the Regional Development Support Agency Košice, n. o., as part of the cross-border project #FloodBOTI.

The event will bring together students and teachers from Slovak and Hungarian schools, who will take part in a program focused on environmental protection, climate change adaptation, and hands-on activities in both natural and school environments.

The schools will introduce themselves and share their motivation.

The program will open with presentations by individual schools, which will share how they perceive the topic of water protection and climate change within their educational environment. This will be followed by informal networking and getting to know the participants.

The program combines education and practice

Participants will take part in a guided tour of the Klimapark Kysak environmental centre, a presentation of the #FloodBOTI project, and educational activities focused on environmental protection. A team activity will follow, where participants will work in smaller groups to find joint solutions for improving the design of school environments. In the practical part, they will try sowing low-growing plants into a turf carpet and engage in activities aimed at creating and enhancing school spaces.

The aim of the camp

The aim of the event is to connect schools from Slovakia and Hungary, support the exchange of experiences, and motivate young people to actively engage in environmental protection and the creation of sustainable solutions within the school environment.

The #FloodBOTI project
