ERNEST project Final Conference

The project’s final conference was held in Florence on 27 June 2012. ERNEST project has the overall aim to address the issue of sustainable development of the tourism sector through coordination and collaboration among regional research programme.

The main purpose of the event was to present the project’s findings and outputs, to display the good practices developed by partners on sustainable tourism.

The conference was attended by representatives of the European Commission, representatives of the 15 European partner regions, research organizations involved in sustainable tourism projects.

During the conference there was an interactive exhibition of the ERNEST sustainable tourism good practices and debate on sustainable and competitive tourism took place.The part of the final conference was the presentation of the director J. Tešliar on TERRA INCOGNITA - Development of Sustainable Cultural Tourism in the Košice Region, Slovakia.
